A win at the Beaconsfield
Hailsham put up a good fight against Rinmer last night at the Beaconsfield. The first half was a bit scrappy with both sides finding a finish hard come by, plenty of long balls up & down the field but no goals were forthcoming, the half ended allsquare at 0-0. The second half enwever both sides showed a bit more flair in the football department and a good amount of passing football started to show through. Ringmer bagged first with Adam Mitchell firing in, Hailsham struck next to level then Marc Whiteman scored the winner in the 86th minute.

Glen Runs in the Brighton marathon

On the men's side Kenya's Philemon Kiprop Boit smashed the record by almost three minutes, breaking the tape in 2:16:07.
First Briton home was Stroud's Dan Robinson in fourth, just outside the previous course record in a detached 2:19:11.
Looking at those times I think you would agree Glen's run was outstanding for his first full marathon.

Hat Trick for Joe in a 6-1 win
A hat trick for Joe Dryer helped the Blues on their way to a 6-1 win against struggling Shoreham last night at the Caburn.
Ringmer's, "now you see me now you don't" form showed for the good and were soon applying the pressure, keeping Shoreham in their own half for much of the first 45. Dryer scored after 19 minutes followed by Marc Whiteman in the 36th, Kieran Patel made it three, 4 minutes later with Dryer rounding off the half 2 minutes after that.

Shoreham came out stronger in the second half and looked to be gaining a bit of ground but Ringmer dealt well with the constant long ball down field until the ref spoilt Ringmer's game plan by awarding a soft penalty for an adjudged foul in the box, Rob Boddy put it away for the visitors and made it 4-1. A pin point corner was met by the head of Ryan MacMillan powering it into the net to restore the four goal lead on 71, then 10 minutes later Dryer rounded off the night with his third making the final score 6-1 to Ringmer. A brilliant effort in goal by Gary Trott in the second half after making some very good saves, frustrating the Shoreham forwards

At present the ground stood ungraded which was not deemed appropriate to stay or play in today's County League Division one, something the club has enjoyed for the last 39 seasons with a short spell of three seasons 86-87, 87-88, 88-89 in Division two.
Ringmer is proud to announce that it will be starting it's 40th season with the required F grading enabling the club to continue to be able to play in the top flight Division.
This has only been possible with a lot of work by the Club management committee and a few hard working volunteers who have given up a lot of their time to bring the ground up to the required standard. A very big and a very grateful thank you must go to the main man and driving force behind this Mr Bob Munnery who has been working tirelessly over the last year or more to reach this goal. So to all of those people a big big thank you, your work has not been in vain. Well done.
