" It has been brought to the notice of the League that there is a possibility that one of our Division One clubs has used an ineligible player for a number of matches starting in the middle of February.A charge has been issued against the Club and Player by the Sussex County FA and it is hoped that they will deal with the matter as a case of extreme urgency. Should the decision find against the Club they will have recourse to appeal.We, the League cannot take action under our Rules until the matter is completed by the County FA.
The result, should the Club be found guilty may affect the final Division One table, as a result it may not be possible to present the Champion and Runner up trophies this weekend.Our apologies to all clubs that this situation has arisen. We will do our utmost to ensure a swift resolution."
