Glen Runs in the Brighton marathon

Congratulations and a big well done goes to Glen Matten who ran in the Brighton Marathon. Glen who has been invaluable in the back line for us this season ran a very commendable 3 hrs 49 min 37 sec. and came 1152 out of 7,815 runners. All the more impressive after Glen had to stop for about 15 minutes to have treatment on huge blisters to his feet at a first aid post but still carried on running after that.

On the men's side Kenya's Philemon Kiprop Boit smashed the record by almost three minutes, breaking the tape in 2:16:07.
First Briton home was Stroud's Dan Robinson in fourth, just outside the previous course record in a detached 2:19:11.

Looking at those times I think you would agree Glen's run was outstanding  for his first full marathon.
