Hailsham 5-0 Ringmer
10/02/10–Ringmer took a trip to Hellsham and back last night, after loosing 5-0 on a night when even the reporters pens froze up. A tale of two halves saw Ringmer boss the opening proceedings but a spirited second half performance from the Yellows saw them score five unanswered goals to seal an emphatic win for the home side.
Manager Bob Munnery said of the match
" Too many times this season we've dominated play and not got the deserved result. We should have not lost the plot when the ref mistakenly gave a penalty to Hailsham. This young fella has made some odd decisions when he's reffed us previously not least when he decided to not let us play against Crowborough in the rain and even more strange was to allow a game to be played where you could not see the lines as with last night".
Did the shortage of key players play a part in the outcome of the match?
"Although we had 8 players out, I would have still expected us to win the game. Clearly we need to make changes before Saturday and those changes will of course be made. Expect a better performance on a flatter pitch at the weekend"
