Weekend report 13/02/10
Ringmer's inconsistent form showed again on Saturday after losing 5-3 to league title contenders Chichester City. Ringmer, still hurting after loosing out to Hailsham 5-0 on Wednesday evening knew they had to get something out of this match to bolster their points in the table. This was not to be however as Chi got the better of the battling Blues in a thrilling contest. Fans watched on as the Blues twice come from behind before two late goals through defensive naivety condemned them to a 5-3 home defeat. Manager Bob Said said: “We got back to 2-2 and 3-3 and when you score three goals at home you expect to win. But we gave away some bad goals. Chichester are very direct but you can see why they score so many goals.”

Ringmers 2nd X1 had better fortune at Pease Pottage winning four goals to nil, goals from Robbie Frost (2) Elliott Finney and Ryan Betsworth sealed the pot for a well earned three points and a clean sheet

Ryan Betsworth's eye was again on target as he scored a fantastic goal on Monday evening when they took on Reserve Premier league leaders Eastbourne Town in the Reserve Section Cup. Unfortunately this goal was not enough after Eastbourne put three past vets keeper Graham Bannantyne, despite his sterling performance between the sticks. The Blues put in a commendable and brave performance and never once looked second best. Sorry no report for this game but the Chi & Potts reports are on the website.

Ringmer travell to Shoreham for their next Division one match on Saturday 20th, Another tough game but the players will really be up for this one in the hunt for a much needed win and three points.
